Darrel Khaw
Senior Intern

Darrel Khaw, age 17, is a student of focus, commitment and sheer will (Reference alert). Curious, adaptable and determined, Darrel continuously sets himself opportunities for success, His path is only expanding with every step he takes to the future, paving the way for greater achievements ahead.

Ever since joining LAW since young, he has been exposed to a variety of ways he can communicate efficiently to people. Exploring each and every aspect of it, he has gotten the grasp on different parts of speaking, whether it is on broadcast, interview, voice acting and so on. With a background like that, it’s no surprise that he has landed roles that suit his passion best. He has successfully helped emcee in various events, ranging from his school’s Sports Day to the 2024 LAW’s Podcast Production Showcase.

Darrel’s journey in LAW has been nothing short of extraordinary. With every passing CSI grade, Darrel has gained praise over the course of years through making miracles work, although there are some ups and downs, he never stumbles and always finds a way to correct his mistakes. He is now working towards completing the final milestone of Communication Skills Individual grade 8. Although joining later than most, he is also a senior intern at LAW and has experience in teaching students on how they can improve their communication skills.

Outside of LAW, Darrel is currently in his final year in school taking upon the challenges of balancing both studies and hobbies. Like every other teenager, he adores playing computer games. He particularly really likes to strategize and take the role of a leader, creating plans beforehand and executing them after, which also reflects upon the way he works. Apart from that, he also has an undying love for a lesser-known sport called floorball.

With every passing day, he can only look forward to what will unveil upon his path. With confidence, he believes that his skills and experience can make him somewhat of a very strong speaker, and with that confidence he will only go onward seeking for opportunities that utilizes his strength, his voice.


Sandra Low Chiu Lan
Senior Intern

Sandra is one of the students that has stayed the longest in Language Arts Workshop. Ever since she joined LAW when she was 5 years old, she has learned to appreciate active learning and hand-on activities. Her 14 years with LAW has turned her into a 19-years old young adult who is determined, outspoken, creative and fast at learning.

Sandra has begun her and is determined to complete her Communication Skills Individual (CSI) Grade 8 certification with LAW this year. Over the past few months of her studies, she has come to realise the importance of learning the right communication skills, such as how to pitch business ideas in public and writing a professional bio, before entering the real adult world. Despite initially finding these activities terrifying, she has learned to see every failures as opportunities for further growth, and continuously improved her skills and presentations with each feedback she received from everyone in LAW.

She has also been interning in LAW for almost 2 years now. Having played the role of an Event Manager Assistant for the 10th Language Arts Festival back in 2024, Sandra has gained valuable skills and new insights on event management, marketing, graphic design, visual arts exhibition and stage performance design. Furthermore, the experience has given her a clearer perspective on her academic and career paths.

Sandra’s learning journey with LAW has been nothing but remarkable. She believes that the skills she has now will help her in her future pursuit in the business field, and positions her well in contributing to society meaningfully as she gains more insights and confidence to share who she is with the world. She also hopes to take part in planning new events and festivals again in the future, and create unforgettable experiences that would captivate and leave lasting impressions.
