Where we store our lasting memories!
Here’s a collection of our video & photo memories during the COVID-19 pandemic. I do enjoy video editing process although it is demanding and frustrating. The recordings of our LIVE performances help me to effectively assess my students’ emotional learning and technical skills in the areas of Communication Arts subjects.
Generally, hundreds of words and photos may present a person in a good light (as seen in many forms of media), but our actual speaking abilities, online and/or face-to-face, will reveal the practical knowledge we possess in communication skills.
Digital education during the COVID-19 era can be daunting. As I lead my team to adapt while making learning fun, we have designed effective assessment methods for ourselves. We learn to present our work with authencity, authority, and integrity. At LAW, we write to communicate and speak to be understood!

By the way…
Since the 1st lockdown in 2020, I have been spending six to eight hours a week for video editing and uploading them to LAW’s YouTube and website. It’s my least favourite task, but I have learned to make peace with it because self-reliance is key to liberty!
Evidently, the video/audio editing process has been one of the best indicators for me to diagnose students’ learning needs. We have our own assessment rubrics and quality control checklist! The editing process also serves as an audition process for us to recruite the best-qualified groups of candidates for our future events.
By reviewing students’ video/audio projects, I can pretty much see the enthusiasm in their performances. It is my job to recognize whether they can be a good fit for a particular role, how comfortable/ready they are with technology, and how well they show their genuine positive learning attitude. There’s NO WAY to fake it here!
