Media Literacy plays an important role in our daily life as internet has become essential infrastructure for almost all businesses, including education. With the latest news on government planning to block individuals below 16 years old from accessing social media platforms, the new policy could have a reverse effect on student’s cognitive development. Students must be taught Media Literacy at an early age so they can adapt intelligently with maturity and responsibility. They need to understand that internet usage comes with a cost.
